Dutch Vineyard Trip - Sunday August 1st

Wine had been produced for centuries in the Netherlands, until Napoleon banned it. This lasted until the end of the Last Century. Then slowly wine production came back to life, first in South Limburg, then later in the Northern Provinces.

Today there are over 60 professional Vineyards active and hundreds of Amature Growers

The type of grape found in the Amsteltuin Vineyard are:

White: Solaris and Johanniter
Red: Valentin Blattner, Pinotin and Cabernet Cortis

Group size will be 10-20 persons, so book early to be assured a place for this Grand Summer Event.

Location: De Amsteltuin, Langs de Aker 5, Amstelveen. Take Tram 5 from Central Station. Also very accessible by car from all directions.

Cost: 12,50 Euros per person. The price includes:

  • Reception with coffee/tea/juice and cake
  • Guided Tour of the Vineyard and Winecellar
  • Wine tasting during the tour in the Winefields or in the Winecellar (depending on weather conditions)
  • A glass of wine or other drink on closing
